Those with an * are offered this year, 2025-26.

  • Ballet I-II (ages 6-8)

This class is an introduction to dancing in a studio and following directions, counting in time to the music, stretching and creative dance. Dancers are taught steps and work on practicing them, while also having portions of the class where they can move freely to classical music. They additionally learn some of the pantomime motions and facial expressions used in ballet. This class is FUN!

  • Ballet III (Ages 7-10)

This level focuses on introducing the dancers to foundational stretching, movement and basic ballet steps that are taught with a creative focus. It encourages following directions, moving in time to music, traveling through space, and mastering the basic ballet positions. Dancers will spend about 10-15 minutes at the barre at this level. All of the barre exercises are done facing the barre to ensure proper alignment of the body. The remainder of the class involves work in the centre and traveling across the floor.

  • *Ballet III B (Ages 7-10)

    Tuesday, 1:30 - 2:30

    Leotard color: Light blue

A continuation of Ballet III, with some creative movement, and more focus on ballet technique. This level is intended for dancers who have had 2-3 years of ballet and want to progress to the next level.

  • Ballet III-IV (Ages 9-11)

This class meets once a week and is the next level offered in our program. Students continue their work on technique facing the barre for further strengthening and proper body alignment. Mid-year the focus will be on exercises with one hand on the barre, strengthening body awareness and alignment, and becoming proficient in centre work. This class is intended for the more serious student who is interested in progressing to the next level in their dancing.

  • *Ballet IVB (Ages 11-13)

    Tuesday, 2:30 - 4:00

    Leotard color: Hunter green

This level meets once a week for 1.5 hours to begin a more serious study of ballet technique. Dancers are able to focus and spend more time at the barre exercises before proceeding to the centre. The increased length of class time provides the dancer with the ability to improve and progress. Eventually, this level will begin meeting twice weekly.
